Originally known as Western Ohio Lumber, Coldwater Lumber has been around and helping locals for over 100 years. Coldwater Lumber was originally owned by 6 local businessmen, but was eventually bought out by Jeff and Nancy Wenning in 2022.
Jeff started working at Coldwater Lumber when he was 17 years old. He started by being the delivery driver and all that comes with working in a yard.
Shortly before graduating high school, Nancy was offered a secretarial job at Coldwater Lumber. She began working there after graduation as has been there ever since.
The death of Tony Link in 1990 was the start of Jeff taking over as general manager. At 29 years old, he knew he had some big shoes to fill and has accomplished this quite well.
The Finish shop was formed in 1985 between Slats Pearson and Jeff Wenning and started in a garage. It outgrew the space very quickly, and in March of 1993 the building on 118 was purchased for this portion of the business.
Throughout the years, Coldwater Lumber has continued to grow and change with the times. One thing has remained the same through it all: our commitment to providing you with quality materials for quality buildings.
Our mission at Coldwater Lumber is to provide expertise and service for anyone wanting to build or remodel. From contractors or Do-It-Yourselfers, we are here for you.
